- Injured at Work:
Employees who sustain a work-related injury in NSW are entitled to receive support under the workers compensation system. You should notify your employer about your work-related injury as soon as possible and complete an incident report (if it is available). Make sure to provide details about the date, time, location, and circumstances of the incident. - Medical Review:
If you’ve been injured while performing work-related tasks, seek medical attention as soon as possible. This could involve getting first aid treatment, going to a doctor, or going to the hospital depending on the severity of your injury. If you are unsure about where to visit regarding to worker’s compensation matter, feel free to contact one of our clinics. - Complete and submit a claim form:
You’ll need to complete a worker’s compensation claim form, which is available on your employer’s insurer’s website or can be obtained from your employer. Make sure to provide all the required information, including details about your injury and how it occurred before submission to employer’s insurer. - Physiotherapy Treatment:
Once you have received the claim number from your employer’s insurer. You may be entitled up to 8 Physiotherapy sessions which are pre-approved by the insurance. If you require further treatment, our Physiotherapist will request for additional sessions. Our friendly staff can assist you in finding a Physiotherapy clinic that’s close and convenient to you.

Workplace Assessment and Return to work program:
Rehabilitation consultant can also be involved in your rehabilitation to facilitate a smooth recovery. They can conduct a workplace assessment to identify any risk factors contributing to ongoing or recurrent injury. The team will provide professional advice to improve work ergonomics and will liaise with your insurer to request any suitable equipment.
Our Physiotherapist and the Occupational Therapist will work closely with your GP, injury manager, and insurer to develop an individualised return-to-work program. The goal is to facilitate better communication with all treatment providers and minimise chance of any aggravation once you return to work.

- Will treatment cost me?
No! Once you have an approved claim number from the insurance, we will directly invoice the insurer and you will not need to pay upfront for your treatment. If further treatment is reasonable and necessary, our Physiotherapist will submit a request form to your insurer for further treatment approval. - Can I choose my Physiotherapist, or do I have to use the one provided by the workers’ compensation insurance company?
Yes! You have the right to choose your own Physiotherapist who is registered as a SIRA provider and experienced in treating your injuries. - What types of immobilisation techniques do you provide?
Any physical injury that you have suffered from work, resulting in decreasing function and capability to work, should be covered by workers’ compensation for Physiotherapy. - Am I entitled to Workers Compensation?
All full-time, part-time and casual employees within NSW who sustain a work-related injury are entitled to receive support under the workers compensation system.
