Physiotherapy
Our AHPRA-registered Physiotherapists support patients with musculoskeletal conditions, injury recovery, post-operative rehabilitation, and chronic pain management — working with you to understand your needs and develop a personalised care approach. Dry needling is available at this clinic.
Exercise Physiology
Our ESSA-accredited Exercise Physiologists work with patients managing chronic conditions — including diabetes, cardiovascular conditions, and obesity — as well as injury rehabilitation and return-to-work conditioning. All Exercise Physiologists hold a four-year university degree and are accredited by Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
Funding and fees at Bankstown
JT Physio Bankstown accepts the same range of funding streams as all CAHC clinics — meaning patients referred through Medicare, WorkCover, CTP, DVA, or private health insurance can be seen here using the same pathways available across the network.
Medicare Chronic Disease Management (CDM)
Patients with a chronic condition lasting six months or more who hold a GP Care Plan are eligible for up to five allied health sessions per calendar year under the Medicare CDM scheme. Both Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology qualify at Bankstown. A particular advantage of the Bankstown clinic: patients visiting a GP at First Care Medical Centre in the same building can request a CDM referral during that same appointment and book their Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology session the same day, without leaving the shopping centre. Rebate amounts are subject to change — confirm current rates with your GP or the clinic.
WorkCover NSW / SIRA
JT Physio Bankstown is a SIRA-registered WorkCover provider. Both Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology are available for patients with NSW WorkCover claims. CAHC’s free Insurance Claims Advisory service handles all insurer paperwork — progress reports, capacity certificates, and return-to-work plans — at no cost to the GP or patient.
Compulsory Third Party (CTP) — Motor Vehicle Accidents
Physiotherapy is available at Bankstown for patients with NSW CTP claims following a motor vehicle accident. The 52-week statutory benefits window applies, and CAHC's free Claims Advisory service covers insurer liaison.
DVA — Department of Veterans' Affairs
Gold and White Card holders can access both Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology at Bankstown under DVA funding. A D904 referral form from a GP or Local Medical Officer (LMO) is required. For veterans who cannot travel, home visits are available.
