Services at our Blacktown clinic

CAHC Blacktown is one of our more comprehensive western Sydney clinics, with five disciplines available under one roof — Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, and Dietetics. Patients with complex or co-occurring health needs can receive coordinated, multi-discipline care at the one location, without travelling to multiple clinics. Home visits and mobile services are also available for patients across the Blacktown catchment who are unable to attend in person — see our Home Visits page for coverage details. NDIS participants and aged care clients are welcome.

Physiotherapy

Our AHPRA-registered Physiotherapists at Blacktown provide musculoskeletal assessment and treatment, injury rehabilitation, post-operative recovery support, chronic pain management, and return-to-work conditioning programmes. Blacktown's large construction, warehousing, and trade workforce means that WorkCover and CTP claims are a primary referral pathway at this clinic — our free Insurance Claims Advisory team handles all insurer paperwork at no cost to the patient. Early appointments are available from 8:00am on Mondays and Wednesdays for patients who need to be seen before work.

Exercise Physiology

Our ESSA-accredited Exercise Physiologists provide evidence-based, individually tailored exercise programmes for patients managing chronic conditions including type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity, cancer, and mental health conditions. Exercise Physiology at Blacktown is also available to WorkCover and NDIS participants, supporting capacity-building goals and return-to-work programmes for patients recovering from workplace injuries.

Occupational Therapy

OT at CAHC Blacktown supports both adults and children with daily function, return-to-work planning after injury, assistive technology recommendations, and home modification reports. The Blacktown LGA has one of the highest concentrations of NDIS participants in New South Wales, making this one of our most in-demand OT locations. NDIS functional capacity assessments (FCAs) can be arranged at Blacktown — a core OT service for NDIS participants seeking to justify or review their plan funding, assistive technology, or home modifications. For participants who cannot travel, OT home visits are available across the western Sydney catchment. Eligibility for NDIS services depends on individual plan goals.

Psychology

Our AHPRA-registered Psychologists at Blacktown support patients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, chronic pain, workplace stress, and other mental health concerns — using approaches including CBT, ACT, and trauma-informed therapy. Medicare Better Access: patients with a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from their GP are eligible for up to 10 individual Psychology sessions per calendar year. A review with the referring GP is required at session 6. Rebate amounts are subject to change — confirm current rates with your GP or the clinic. Telehealth Psychology appointments are available at CAHC Blacktown, covered under Medicare Better Access.

Dietetics

Our Accredited Practising Dietitians (APD), credentialled through Dietitians Australia, provide nutrition assessment and support for patients managing type 2 diabetes, IBS, cardiovascular conditions, weight management, cancer nutrition, eating-related concerns, and paediatric feeding needs. The Blacktown LGA has above-average rates of type 2 diabetes, making Dietetics one of the higher-demand disciplines at this clinic.

Funding and fees at Blacktown

CAHC Blacktown accepts a wide range of funding streams — from Medicare and private health to NDIS, WorkCover, and DVA — so that cost is not a barrier to getting the right care at the right time.

Medicare Chronic Disease Management (CDM)

If your GP has diagnosed you with a chronic condition (one lasting six months or more), you may be eligible for a GP Management Plan that includes referrals for allied health under the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) programme. CDM provides access to up to five allied health sessions per calendar year, which can be used for Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Dietetics, or Occupational Therapy at CAHC Blacktown. Rebate amounts are subject to change — confirm current rates with your GP or the clinic.

PhysiotherapyExercise Physiology

Medicare Better Access — Psychology

Under a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from your GP or psychiatrist, you are eligible for up to 10 individual Psychology sessions per calendar year at a Medicare rebate. Both in-person and telehealth Psychology sessions at CAHC Blacktown are covered under Better Access. A review with your referring GP is required after session 6. Rebate amounts are subject to change — confirm current rates with your GP or the clinic.

NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme)

CAHC is a registered NDIS provider. All five Blacktown disciplines — Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, and Dietetics — are available to NDIS participants at this clinic. Plan-managed, self-managed, and NDIA-managed participants are all welcome. Eligibility for NDIS-funded services depends on your individual plan goals. Home visits are available for Blacktown-area participants who are unable to attend the clinic in person. For OT participants: NDIS functional capacity assessments (FCAs) can be arranged at Blacktown.

CAHC's free Insurance Claims Advisory service handles all insurer paperwork — progress reports, return-to-work forms, and insurer liaison — at no cost to you or your employer. The Blacktown LGA has a significant construction, warehousing, and logistics workforce, making WorkCover one of the primary funding pathways at this clinic.

Workers CompensationInsurance Claims Advisory

It was amazing how this guys help me get back on track within a short time. Thank you mr Jun for the Great job done and l appreciate your support.I recently attended Complete Allied Health Care at Rooty Hill Road North after sustaining an injury, and I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Anindya. From the moment I arrived, Anindya was calm, professional, patient, and very polite. He guided me through my rehabilitation exercises with great care and encouragement. Some of the exercises were ones I hadn’t done in a long time, and my first attempt was quite difficult. However, he kept motivating me to continue, which gave me the confidence to push through.By the end of the session, I felt encouraged and motivated to keep working towards my recovery. Anindya’s knowledge, positive attitude, and support have given me confidence that I’ll be able to return to my normal work duties.Thank you so much, Anindya. I truly appreciate your dedication and the excellent care you provided. God bless you.

My experience with your centre has been excellent, particularly with the psychologist. She took the time to understand my concerns and her approach has been very effective. I attend the Blacktown Clinic and have received the top quality treatments. I have had the privilege of having the complete team providing my physio over the course of time and with each person the outcome has been nothing but exceptional. I am an older Aboriginal woman who has had a fair share of physio over my years but this service tops all the others. Highly recommend you to book an appointment and check it out for your self.

Jerry is a great physio who has really helped me with my back pain. He relieves aching discomfort through massage, current therapy, and heat packs. They’re also very flexible with bookings, which makes the whole process so much easier. I would definitely recommend them if you’ve been struggling with any kind of pain — physios are the answer!
