One of the main ways to manage diabetes is through a good and balanced diet 🥕
Managing your diet will help control blood sugar levels and prevent complications such as heart attacks, strokes, kidney disease, and so forth.
Is there a cure?
There is no cure for type 1 or type 2 diabetes. It can only be managed through lifestyle modifications and medication. Diabetes is progressive and needs to be managed effectively to prevent complications such as:
- Heart attack and stroke
- Kidney disease
- Damage to eyesight
- Nerve damage – especially to hands and feet
- Poor blood circulation which can lead to amputation
