Today marks 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐲, 10th of October 2023, a day to raise awareness for mental health and driving positive change for everyone’s mental health.
It’s also a chance to talk about mental health, how we need to look after it, and how important it is to get help if you or someone you know is struggling.
Mental health is a broad concept that includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It is not simply the absence of mental illness, but also about being able to handle and cope with life’s challenges, maintaining positive relationships, and overall well-being.
𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭. But starting a conversation isn’t always easy. The best way is to provide a safe space, when talking about mental health.
