Position: Speech Pathologist

We are seeking a motivated and empathetic Speech Pathologist to join our growing team. You will provide assessment, therapy, and support to individuals with a variety of communication and swallowing needs. This role offers flexibility and the chance to work with a diverse client base, including NDIS participants.

The Role:
- Greeting of patients and responding to their enquiries.
- Assess patients with communication impairments, including speaking, listening, language comprehension, reading and writing; or speech impediments such as stutters arising from work related, motor vehicle accidents, NDIS, Home Care Package, Medicare and general private consultations.
- Individually tailored plans with evidence-based intervention within your scope of services.
- Provide quality clinical opinions and justification through comprehensive, report writing and completing funding application reports.
- Communication (face to face/phone/email) with service providers, administration staff and case referrers.
- Timely referral or recommendation of patients to other multi-disciplinary service providers such as Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Exercise Physiologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Podiatrists and Dietitians.
- Completion of clinical notes at the end of each work day, and to provide prompt written reports/progress letters/treatment requests to the relevant parties involved.
- Provide training and ongoing clinical assistance to other Team Members involving face-to-face meetings and file audits.
- To liaise timely and effectively with representatives of Diverse Employment Management including Management, and the Leadership Team consisting of Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists.

- Excellent interpersonal, communication and report writing skills.
- Entrepreneurial aspirations.
- Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) certification.
- A member with Speech Pathology Australia (or eligible for membership).
- Eligibility for registration with Medicare.
- Professional indemnity insurance, valid police check and working with children check.
- Current drivers licence and own vehicle.
- Cultural awareness and foreign language capabilities an advantage.
