Services at our Auburn clinic

CAHC Auburn brings together four allied health disciplines — Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, and Dietetics — under one roof in Western Sydney, so patients can access multidisciplinary care without travelling between providers. Referrals are accepted across Medicare, NDIS, WorkCover, CTP, DVA, and private health insurance. For patients who are unable to attend the clinic in person, CAHC also offers home visits and mobile allied health services across Auburn and the surrounding suburbs — see our Home Visits page for more information.

Physiotherapy

Our AHPRA-registered Physiotherapists work with patients across a wide range of musculoskeletal and injury presentations, supporting people through acute injury recovery, chronic pain management, and post-surgical rehabilitation at our Auburn clinic.

Exercise Physiology

Our ESSA-accredited Exercise Physiologists design and deliver supervised exercise programs to support patients managing chronic disease, recovering from workplace or motor vehicle injuries, and building functional capacity under NDIS plans.

Psychology

Our AHPRA-registered Psychologists support patients experiencing anxiety, depression, chronic pain, trauma, and workplace stress through a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Referrals under Medicare Better Access (Mental Health Treatment Plan — up to 10 sessions per calendar year), WorkCover, and CTP are all accepted at Auburn.
Rebate amounts are subject to change — confirm current rates with your GP or the clinic.

Dietetics

Our Accredited Practising Dietitians provide personalised nutritional guidance for patients managing diabetes, IBS, coeliac disease, weight-related conditions, and other eating-related health concerns, and accept referrals under Medicare Chronic Disease Management plans.

Funding and fees at Auburn

CAHC Auburn accepts a wide range of funding streams — including Medicare, NDIS, WorkCover, CTP, DVA, and private health insurance — so patients can access the right care at the right time.

Medicare Chronic Disease Management (CDM)

Patients with a chronic condition lasting six months or more may be eligible for up to five allied health sessions per calendar year under a GP-initiated CDM care plan. At Auburn, CDM applies to Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, and Dietetics. Rebate amounts are subject to change — confirm current rates with your GP or the clinic.

PhysiotherapyExercise Physiology

Medicare Better Access (Psychology only)

Under the Medicare Better Access initiative, patients with a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from their GP are eligible for up to 10 individual Psychology sessions per calendar year. A clinical review with the referring GP is required after the sixth session. Speak with your GP about a Mental Health Treatment Plan referral to access this funding at Auburn. Rebate amounts are subject to change — confirm current rates with your GP or the clinic.

Psychology

NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme)

All four disciplines at Auburn — Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, and Dietetics — are available to NDIS participants. CAHC is a registered NDIS provider and can work with plan-managed, self-managed, and NDIA-managed participants. Eligibility for specific services depends on your individual plan goals and approved budget categories.

NDIS

WorkCover NSW / SIRA

Patients recovering from a workplace injury can access Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology at Auburn under SIRA-registered WorkCover claims. CAHC’s free Insurance Claims Advisory manages all insurer paperwork and liaison with case managers — at no cost to the patient or the referring GP — so the focus can remain on rehabilitation and return to work.

Workers Compensation

Compulsory Third Party (CTP) — Motor Vehicle Accidents

Physiotherapy and Psychology are both available at Auburn for patients with a NSW motor vehicle accident CTP claim. The statutory benefits window covers up to 52 weeks of treatment from the date of accident. CAHC’s free Claims Advisory team handles all insurer communications and paperwork throughout the claims process.

CTP Process

DVA — Department of Veterans' Affairs

Gold and White Card holders can access Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, and Dietetics at Auburn. Most DVA-funded services require a D904 referral form from a GP or Liaison Medical Officer (LMO). Contact the Auburn clinic on (02) 8027 3439 to discuss your DVA entitlements before your first appointment.

Private Health Insurance

HICAPS on-the-spot claiming is available at Auburn, meaning you pay only any gap amount at the time of your appointment. Rebate amounts vary by fund and Extras cover level. Contact us on (02) 8027 3439 to confirm your fund before your appointment.
