CAHC offers all 9 allied health disciplines to NDIS participants — one registered provider for your full therapy support needs.
Service eligibility and the number of sessions available depend on your individual NDIS plan goals and budget category — speak with your support coordinator or contact CAHC to confirm what is available in your plan.
- Physiotherapy NDIS-funded Physiotherapy supports participants with mobility, strength, movement, and functional recovery goals. CAHC Physiotherapists provide assessment, exercise prescription, and hands-on therapy in clinic, at home, or in community settings. AHPRA registered.
- Occupational Therapy (OT) — including Functional Capacity Assessments OT is one of the most widely funded allied health disciplines under NDIS. CAHC OTs provide Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs) for NDIS planning, assistive technology (AT) reports, home modification reports, and therapy supports for daily living goals. FCAs are comprehensive assessments of a participant’s functional abilities, submitted to the NDIA to support planning and plan review decisions. AHPRA registered.
- Psychology NDIS-funded Psychology supports participants with mental health, emotional regulation, and social participation goals under Capacity Building — Improved Daily Living. CAHC Psychologists provide in-person and telehealth sessions. AHPRA registered.
- Speech Pathology Speech Pathology is widely funded under NDIS for both paediatric and adult participants. CAHC Speech Pathologists provide communication therapy, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) assessment and prescription, Functional Communication reports, and paediatric language support. - Exercise Physiology ESSA-accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) deliver NDIS-funded Capacity Building programs for participants with chronic health conditions, disability-related deconditioning, and functional capacity goals. Available in clinic, home, and hydrotherapy settings where available.
- Dietetics NDIS-funded Dietetics supports participants with disability-related nutritional needs, including food selectivity, chronic health conditions, and metabolic health goals. CAHC’s Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs) work with participants across paediatric and adult presentations.
- Podiatry NDIS-funded Podiatry supports participants with disability-related foot and lower limb health needs, including orthotic prescription and diabetic foot care. CAHC Podiatrists are AHPRA registered.
- Massage Therapy Massage Therapy may be available under NDIS Capacity Building in some circumstances — speak with your support coordinator to confirm whether remedial massage is included in your plan goals. CAHC Massage Therapists are AAMT members.

How NDIS Funding Works — Budget Categories
NDIS participants are funded across three main budget categories. Understanding which category covers allied health will help you and your support coordinator make the most of your plan.
Capacity Building — Improved Daily Living
This is the primary NDIS budget category used for most CAHC allied health services, including Physiotherapy, OT, EP, Psychology, Speech Pathology, Dietetics, and Podiatry. 'Improved Daily Living' funds therapy and assessment supports that build a participant's skills and independence. Specific line items include assessment recommendations (such as FCAs and AT reports), therapy supports, and group programs. Eligibility depends on your individual NDIS plan goals — speak with your support coordinator or contact CAHC to confirm.
Core Supports
Core is typically used for daily activities, consumables, and some community participation supports. Allied health therapy services are generally not funded from Core — they usually sit in Capacity Building. In specific circumstances, some participants may have direct therapy funding in Core — your plan will specify. Contact your LAC or support coordinator if you're unsure which category applies to you.
Capital — Assistive Technology (AT) and Home Modifications
OT-prescribed assistive technology and home modifications may be funded under Capital, following a written OT report. CAHC OTs provide AT and home modification reports to support Capital funding requests. The NDIA approves capital funding based on the OT’s report — CAHC cannot guarantee AT or home modification approval, and participants should discuss timelines with their support coordinator.

How to Access CAHC NDIS Services — Step by Step
Pathway A — Participant or Family
Step 1 — Check your NDIS plan. Review your current plan for Capacity Building — Improved Daily Living funding. If you’re unsure what’s in your plan, contact your support coordinator or LAC — they can help you identify your therapy budgets and confirm which services are covered.
Step 2 — Contact CAHC. Call your nearest CAHC clinic, use the online booking form, or submit an NDIS referral via the form on this page. Tell us your plan management type (self-managed, plan-managed, or NDIA-managed) so we can set up billing correctly from the start.
Step 3 — Receive your service agreement. Before your first appointment, CAHC will provide a service agreement outlining the services, rates, cancellation policy, and your rights as a participant — a requirement under the NDIS Code of Conduct. You or your plan manager will countersign the agreement.
Step 4 — Initial assessment. Your first appointment with the relevant CAHC practitioner includes a clinical assessment to understand your goals and design a therapy program aligned with your NDIS plan outcomes.
Step 5 — Ongoing therapy and reporting. CAHC practitioners provide progress reporting to support plan reviews as required. Participants and support coordinators are welcome to request progress updates at any time.

Home Visits and Flexible Service Delivery
CAHC NDIS services are available in multiple settings — not just clinic. Our practitioners visit participants at their home, school or childcare setting, aged care facility, community centre, or workplace for supported employment participants. Telehealth sessions are available for many CAHC disciplines, particularly relevant for participants with mobility difficulties, complex health presentations, or those in areas without a nearby CAHC clinic.

For Carers and Families
Carers and family members supporting an NDIS participant are welcome to call CAHC directly to discuss the participant's therapy needs and available services. Yes.
