- Injured at Work:
Employees who sustain a work-related injury in Queensland are entitled to receive support under WorkCover Queensland. We at Complete Allied Health Care understand that it can be stressful and confusing at times to navigate the system as an injured worker. You should notify your employer about your work-related injury as soon as possible and complete an incident report if it is available. Make sure to provide details about the date, time, location, and circumstances of the incident. - Medical Review:
This could involve getting first aid treatment, going to a GP, or going to the hospital depending on the severity of your injury. Obtain a work capacity certificate from your GP. If you go to a hospital with a work-related injury, the hospital will automatically send your work capacity certificate to WorkCover and they will contact you via SMS to see if you want to make a claim. If you are unsure about where to visit regarding to worker’s compensation matter, feel free to contact one of our clinics. - Complete and submit a claim form:
Gather your personal information such as Tax File Number declaration, bank details (BSB, account number and account name for weekly compensation or reimbursement purposes), your employer’s name and location. Gather information about your injury, including details about how and when it happened. Notify your employer/manager about the claim and lodge your claim at https://www.worksafe.qld.gov.au/. - Physiotherapy Treatment:
Once you have received claim number from your employer’s insurer. You may entitle up to 6 physiotherapy sessions which are pre-approved by the insurance. If you require further treatment, our physiotherapy team will submit request form to your employer’s insurer. Our friendly staff can assist you in finding a physiotherapy clinic that’s close and convenient to you.

Workplace Assessment and Return to work program:
Rehabilitation consultant can also be involved in your rehabilitation to facilitate a smooth recovery. They can conduct a workplace assessment to identify any risk factors contributing to ongoing or recurrent injury. The team will provide professional advice to improve work ergonomics and will liaise with your insurer to request any suitable equipment.
Our Physiotherapist and the Occupational Therapist will work closely with your GP, injury manager, and insurer to develop an individualised return-to-work program. The goal is to facilitate better communication with all treatment providers and minimise chance of any aggravation once you return to work.

No! Once you have an approved claim number from the insurance, we will directly invoice the insurer and you will not need to pay upfront for your treatment. If further treatment is reasonable and necessary, our physiotherapist will submit a request form to your insurer for further treatment approval.
Yes! You have the right to choose your own physiotherapist who is registered with WorkCover Queensland and experienced in treating your injuries.
